They weren’t quite sure what to think of them at first but once they realized they were rawhide look out! They gobbled them down in no time. Of course mom forgot to take pictures; she is terrible about taking pictures of all the important things. How do I know for sure that they liked the rawhide cards without a picture? My birthday gets more dog-gone exciting every day "OH" I mean every year! Mom and dad are always doing something special to celebrate me! This year they not only gave me a party with my favorite toys, dad got me drunk. I wouldn’t mind so much but those beer bubbles really give me nose job. I get kind of stupid and puppy strut sideways, mom gets a laugh out of it and then says it isn’t funny. After mom sobered me up I got to open my presents Oh Boy! Oh Boy! They got me a new camo bird, but this one mom won’t let me take outside. I thought that is where they belong and besides dad put some sent on it and now it smells like my other training birds. I can’t believe mom didn’t blow a gasket, probably because it was my birthday and she wanted me to have all the attention. Then mom gave me my rawhide birthday card, the edible birthday card I have been waiting for! Mom knows how much I appreciate a tasty treat that I can chew on for a few days. She really needs to work on her timing though; she was trying to take pictures while I was being excited and rambunctious. I did let her get a couple of quick pics so I could post them on my blog. I want everyone to see how cute and spoiled I am, besides when all my friends see my rawhide chew card and my new indoor bird they will be jealous.

I love the dad no matter what mom says about him. I have always had a blast with dad when we are out in the field or taking long walks, he is the best! It is great spending time with him; we teach each other all kinds of stuff. Just the other day I was showing him the proper way to hold a Frisbee while watching the birds. Mom says we are really starting to look a lot alike, but I will let you be the judge of that.

Spring has sprung and the birds are singing and the bees are buzzing. Here it is mid week, and I the Raddo have taken over the mom’s computer. The control freak that she is she NEVER lets me use the computer during the week. She thinks I should only use it on the weekends when she has time to stand over me and bark. I know it will be short lived so I better get to it and make this post quickly.

Today has proven a very interesting day. While out doing my rounds today being "the great protector" that I am, I was hanging out with my floppy just checking out the weather and seeing if anything needed watering or fertilizer. All of a sudden this guy goes walking by like he owns the street. Well that just yanked my chain and jerked my bark muscle! I started running down my side of the fence barking up a fury when I realized that my floppy was still in my mouth, no wonder he did not seem too intimidated. I dropped the flop then he took notice as I the Raddo tore up and down the yard giving him some what for.

Then after a much needed moment of shut eye, two more strangers showed up and they were on MY side of the fence! I thought they were fair game so I was ready to have some lunch, but dad made me kennel up (the party pooper). They continued down stairs and proceeded to steal our basement fridge. I was about to bust out of my cell and take care of some bidness, but dad kept telling me to calm down. It was then I heard mom and dad talking and found out that dad bought a new one. What on earth was mom thinking letting him go shopping by himself? Boy was she lucky that all they ended up with was a new fridge.

Today being April Fool’s Day and all, it hasn’t been too bad. I have so many things going on that I didn’t have time to set anyone up for any good gags, but being the wisdom wheeling canine I am I could fool these humans any day.

Wiggles & Wags,
The Raddo

Testing Lilies and Green Anniversaries

Another weekend has snuck up on me, and I think I might have napped through the last one. The weather is finally getting nicer and if I keep mom on a short leash I can start taking her outside. Once I know she won’t run back in the house I can let her go so she can get to cleaning up my yard, starting with the poop and working her way to the gardens. Mom is always so busy these days it is hard to get her attention on the important things in life: ME!

I the Raddo have been hard at work in the yard already, scouting the lawn and gardens for the perfect places for our newest test products to be displayed.

The first one to be tested this year will be this beautiful arrangement of 5 Solar Light Lilies. The solar panel is located in the base of the planter and each lily is attached individually which allows you to bend each lilly in any direction you desire. My favorite thing about this solar light flower is the blinking that happens when the sun goes down. This beautiful bowl of blinking brightness measures approximates 20 inches in height and will look great in any garden. Mom gets pretty dog-gone goofy over her solar light decorations and I have a feeling deep in my stomach (unless that’s hunger) that we will be doing a lot of testing this year.

Once I have thoroughly tested the products in every manner known to dog and man only then will it qualify for my paw print of approval on my listings in my eBay store.

Now on to some other important matters at paw, mom and dad celebrated their 21st year of making each other crazy and their 17th wedding anniversary. How the two of them made it before I came along I don’t know. Someone has to be the referee. Actually they get along so well it makes most people gag, I know it’s hard for me to keep my kibble down sometimes. Mom splurged and took dad to Denny’s for dinner Tuesday night on the anniversary date. Come on, how many people go and get married on St. Patrick’s Day? I could think of a lot of other holidays that would have been much more appropriate and cooler to celebrate. They seem to be very happy about the date they chose, it just makes me green.

Wiggles & Wags
The Raddo

Humans Hmmmmm?

The last couple of weeks have been tail chasing busy around here and I just can’t seem to fetch a break. Last week I was so busy I didn’t even have time think about my blog. I have come to terms with the fact the humans I hang with seem to be at least 1 can short of a six pack if you know what I mean.

Wednesday a week ago was just the beginning of nothing going right. Auntie Nose’s moving day was nothing short of an unorganized disaster. When mom showed up, there was hardly anything even packed. Then they were late getting the truck and if that wasn’t bad enough, after it was half loaded it was then determined that the truck was not big enough. So in the midst of switching trucks one of the humans (don’t remember which one, it doesn’t happen to often) actually had an idea that was worth putting into action. They decided to back the 16 foot truck up to the 24 foot truck and move the load, though switching trucks put us way behind schedule it would have taken even longer to unload at the house and reload the bigger truck after the switch. The moving crew and loaded truck hit the road about 5:30pm which was 4 to 5 hours later than originally planned.

Saturday was already earmarked for cleaning Auntie Nose’s house. What I can’t figure out is why clean it now, because it never bothered her before. Mom was over there all day helping with the trash removal and scrubbing floors, counters, walls, and ceilings. She was useless when she arrived home. I try not to growl to much about it but when it interrupts my time with the mom I get a bit of a bark about me. Good thing these human types keep me around to let them know how ridiculous and un k-9 like they truly are.

Though the week blew by like my slobber when I hang my head out of the car window, it was by far not easy. Mom's excuse for not helping me get things done this week was her boss was sick. My question, sick of what? Was he chewing on something he wasn’t suppose to, that is what usually makes me sick?

Yesterday dad had some friends he work with over. Mark and Ryan are good guys, but they did not bring any treats. What’s with that? The humans were sitting around chatting away as they always seem to do, not accomplishing anything of importance or even caring the day is wasting. I on the other hand was busy going from one human to another for the pat on the head and the easily gotten back rub. It is funny how easy it is to train humans with some things. I simply walk up under a free hanging hand and before you know it I am getting an ear rub and a back scratching that makes my butt wiggle. Then it happened…….Mark looked right at me and said “it’s a dog’s life”. It was then I realized that I had not had time to ponder that phrase and what human people mean by saying it. Well I guess I will nap on that this week and see if I have anything to report on it next week.

Wiggles and Wags
The Raddo

Ruffed Another Week

I have ruffed it through another week with all of the excitement and not enough naps or treats.

I always like hangin with the dad, but now I have to perk my ears more when he talks about his blog. He is an excellent blogger and I can learn a lot from him. His blog is for his job so he posts about work stuff. My dad has taught me so much throughout my life he is my hero!

I got to visit with my cousin Lynnifer and her pup Maddy early in the week. That pup of hers has too much spunk for me. It walks on two legs and gets into everything. I do however love to lick her little paws. There is always some type of taste treat of some kind on those paws. Mom puppy sat for her a couple of hours Wednesday. She took the camera and didn't take any pictures. I think she has trouble remembering things at her age.

Yesterday we got 4 inches of that white stuff that mom hates so much. I don't know why she doesn't like it? I love to run around like I'm 2 years old again. Mom a hollerin to be careful. What does she think I'm human or something? After mom got home from shopping and put everything away, she got to go snow blow the driveway! OH BOY what a treat! I don't get to help with the driveway but I know the back is next. When she came in she wanted to take a quick break and I couldn't figure out why, I'm ready to go. Then she did it, she picked up my field coat and I knew it was time. I collared up to get my coat on and we were out the door. I ran over to my garden with my favorite tree bark covering the ground beneath the snow. I cleared the snow with my paw and began to munch my "ruff"age for the day. With walks shoveled and my fiber fill for the day it was time to go in. Then the screeching voice comes, wipe your feet, wipe your feet, wipe your feet, what is she a broken record?

I am going to ponder this week. That phrase that human type people use. "It's a dog's life" When they are petting me on my head, usually interrupting a much needed power nap. They say that like it’s a good thing. Helloooo if it’s such a good thing you wouldn’t be waking me up right now!

Wiggles and Wags
The Raddo

My First Blog

I have been so busy all morning, I have only had time for 2 short naps and it is already afternoon. Today being Valentine's Day, I had to make it special for my humans and that is never easy. Getting up early at 11:30 am to give dad his Valentine's Day card (made it myself), and mom her gift that dad picked up for us (a heart shaped cake pan and a box of double chocolate brownie mix with chocolate chips). Now is the perfect time for me to wiggle some favors out of her, an extra treat or 6 would be nice.

This evening I think I will work some more on my "me page" in my eBay store. I want to leave a lasting impression on all human type people that visit. Mom helps with the listings and communications, but she doesn't take direction very well. Sometimes I think she thinks she owns the place. When we set our differences aside and stop growling at each other long enough to get some work done we make a pretty good team.

Mom let me use the computer long enough last week to launch my new product.
